This week the Eagle Ford Shale rig count rose from 222 in the prior week's count to 224 active drilling rigs. The gas rig count dropped to 108 rigs drilling, while the oil rig count increased from 110 to 114 active rigs. 1 rig is drilling an injection well.  Horizontal rigs account for 205 of the 224 rigs drilling in the South Texas region. The Eagle Ford Shale rig count remained flat at 222 active drilling rigs. The gas rig count remained at 111 rigs drilling, while the oil rig count was unchanged at 110 active rigs. One rig in La Salle County is drilling an injection well.  Horizontal rigs account for 201 of the 222 rigs drilling in the South Texas region. With oil prices hovering around $100 per barrel don't expect the rig count to back off any time soon. The Eagle Ford Shale rig count is up 4 rigs to 220 active drilling rigs from 216 the prior week. The gas rig count rose 3 rigs to 111 rigs drilling, while the oil rig count rose 1 rig to 108 active rigs. One rig is drilling an injection well.  Horizontal rigs account for 200 of the 220 rigs drilling in the South Texas region. Drilling activity should continue to climb over the coming months as operators commit more rigs to the play. The Eagle Ford Shale rig count rose from 202 active drilling rigs to 207 this week. The gas rig count remained at 103 rigs drilling, while the oil rig count increased from 97 rigs to 102. One rig is drilling an injection well.  Horizontal rigs account for 188 of the 207rigs drilling in the South Texas region. Drilling activity should continue to climb over the coming months as operators commit more rigs to the play.
